Why tokenisation fails
- Card not fully issued: Virtual card must show Active. Pending KYC or frozen cards cannot tokenise.
- Region mismatch: Apple ID country not equal to KYC country not equal to phone region is a common fail pattern.
- Device limit: Most issuers allow 1–2 wallet devices per card. Remove old devices before adding new ones.
- BIN not enabled: Some card BINs are not enabled for Apple/Google Pay in specific countries — issuer-side, not user-fixable.
- Manual PAN entry: Typing the card number directly into Wallet bypasses issuer tokenisation — use the in-app button instead.
